Shabbat Hospitality
We are always excited to welcome new members into our community, if you would like to learn more about Young Israel of Southfield and spend a Shabbat with one of our member families, we are happy to offer hospitality. If you’re interested, please give us the opportunity of hosting you for a Shabbat.
Welcoming Committee
We offer Shabbat meals for all new families for your first Shabbat in the community. We also drop off a special welcome package. The YIS welcoming committee will reach out to you once you move in to coordinate.
Bikur Cholim
We provide services for the ill or homebound, including meals, shopping and driving to appointments.
Mazel Tov Meals
We provide dinners for YIOS families with a new baby. We can also assist in other ways if needed.
Shiva Meals
We provide a dinner to members during the week of Shiva.
