abbis Naftali Friedman and Yuval Kroper, members of the Kollel Torah MiTzion, lead youth activities including pre-Yomtov programs such as Sukkah decorating and Shofar blowing and day trips to Kensington Metropark and the Domino’s Farm petting zoo. The toddler room offers supervised play for children ages two to four from 9:30 to 11:30 am every Shabbat and Yomtov. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
There are many activities for children and teenagers sponsored by YIS, including Chessed programs, Shabbat groups, and Veshinantam Levanecha learning during and after Shabbat.
The Rabbi and Rebbetzin open their home regularly for Ongei Shabbat. These cholent extravaganzas cater to teens and young adults.
The Veshinantam Levanecha family learning program, established by the Rabbi, meets during or shortly after the end of Shabbat.
The Rebbetzin heads and coordinates the Chevrat Chessed. Volunteers provide support for the YIS family by offering such services as Mazel Tov meals, Bikkur Cholim services, Nichum Aveilim assistance, new member welcome packets, visitor information, and family Chessed opportunities.
